“God Is Faithful”

God is Faithful
Today I was reminded of God’s faithfulness. While in my study this morning, I got to my desk and began to take my new daily devotion journey and to my surprise, I saw an old journal tucked away in my bookcase. One of my favorite things about journals is not so much writing in them day to day, but more so about going back a looking at my past journey in Christ. I found an entry of nearly 8 years ago that took me back to a place of deep desire and decision. It aslo took me back to a place of deep prayer and concern for a very serious situation within my family. As I read over that journal, I began to feel the overwhelming joy of the Lord. God had answered everyone of those prayers. At that time, I had some serious doubt. I even felt like I was in despair. But the unique thing about God’s answer to those prayers, they did not come the day I journaled about them. Fact is, they came several months later, one even came over a year later. The thing that this reassured me of, GOD IS FAITHFUL. Sometimes we get so caught up in the moment of our needs and desires that we fail to faithfully thank Him for His Faithfulness to us. Keep praying, keep seeking His will in your life, and I challenge you to keep record of your prayer journal and revisit ot every few months. It will help your faith tremendously! Jeremiah was in a time of deep despair as He was faithful to God in His service but seemingly seeing no fruit or difference. Jeremiah came to Spiritual grip every so often and had to regroup, and that is exactly what we must do, we must regroup often in our walk with the Lord. When we look at His track record in our life, our anxiousness becomes Hope. Look at this regrouping time for Jeremiah. It’s as if you can see the hope come to life right off the pages of His writing! Lamentations 3:21—2621 This I recall to my mind, therefore have I hope. 22 It is of the LORD’S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. 23 They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness. 24 The LORD is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him. 25 The LORD is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him. 26 It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the LORD.”
